3 Things You Should Figure Out Before Starting to Remodel Your Kitchen

Embarking on a kitchen remodeling project does not necessarily mean you won’t have a kitchen. Figure out a temporary place for the pantry, food prep, and doing dishes before you start the project.

While eating at restaurants and ordering food is convenient, this is probably an unaccounted cost of remodeling your kitchen. But with this tip, maybe you can save some money that you can put back into your kitchen remodel project.

Temporary Pantry

Do you use all the items in your pantry every time you cook? No. So what you need to do is store all the items you will be using during the remodeling of your kitchen.

Then setup a smaller version of your pantry in the area where you plan to prepare food.

Temporary Area for Food Preparation

While a microwave is great for reheating meals, do yourself a favor and get a portable stove. This will be your friend during the kitchen remodeling process.

All you need to do is find a flat surface with an outlet to plug it in.

Add a cutting board and garbage can, and now you have a temporary area to prepare quick meals during the remodeling project.

Temporary Area for Doing Dishes

The usual suspects are places where water is already running, like a spare bathroom or the patio.

You also need a drying rack.

If you cannot dedicate a bathroom or patio to doing dishes, you may want to get a container to carry the dirty dishes to a place with running water, then do the dishes and use the same container to take the dishes to the drying rack.
